Holts Summit, Missouri
We just got tagged by a big storm. Chickens, even those roosting in trees lacking leaves; and dogs got through. Kids and I got a good scare as the house started farting. I am very surprised not a single pen was rolled even though trees were dancing outside the window. Car lost about $1,000 in value. Will show pictures of hail collected tomorrow. After scare, kids had thrill of running nearly naked to find hail stones. We got a lot of rain, like at least a couple inches in less than 15 minutes. Will be hard to sleep tonight now.

Wow ! Same storm just rolled through here as well, but with much smaller hail. No damage to my property. Sorry for any damage you got.

These are some of the hailstone we collected. They are a lot smaller than those (3") collected by co-worker that lives a little over two miles away. Co-worker and student can not legally drive vehicles because of window damage.

These melted a bit before we collected them. Temperature was pushing 72 F when they fell.

Central Missouri. I west of Holts Summit. Those that got hit harder live on west side of Jefferson City and southeast side of Holts Summit. East side of Jefferson City where my lab is located got nothing, but lightening which took out phone lines.

Yikes. I'm way south of you but not quite in the Bootheel. We're getting a sprinkle right now, nothing serious. I'm sorry about your damage! I tried to click a 😲 face but my connection is spotty and all it would do is a 👍 and then I couldn't change it. 🙄

Dayummmm, them are some big balls of ice !!! The biggest I saw on the deck were 3/8"ish. I got lucky !

Yeah, we're practically neighbors ! I'm about 35 miles ESE of Holts summit, as the crow flies. Highway 19, and Int. 70 ish.
