Hi all about 2 years ago I acquired two female 6 month old peaking ducks from my neighbor who no longer wanted to care for them.

I have lots of chickens and ducks were new to me but I took them in. I don't mind having them around but I am beginning to realize that there are others who would love them. Right now they just have a little kiddy pool to play in, they are each laying about an egg every day or every other day in the spring. Summer is less, and in the fall and winter almost none.

They are eating layer feed that I was giving my chickens. I ask 5 dollars for the pair. I won't separate them though, and it'd be nice if they could go to a home with a creek, pond, lake, or even if you could take my kiddy pool with you to let them play in it.

Having a good place of shelter for them is a must.

I am located in Gratz, PA about 45 mins north of Harrisburg, and 35 mins south of Sunbury.

hey i am really in need of a couple female pekins, right now i have three males and two females. This causes stress to all involved including me. Problem is I am in central NY,however my son is interviewing in Pittsburgh on 5--7 tomorrow and may be coming back via rt. 81 Would you be willing to meet him at a rt. 81 exchange and would you have travel boxes for the girls? If so I can tell you they would be very happy here, we have a big pond with a creek running behind it. We free range all day and get cooped at dusk. Diet consists of cracked corn and layer crumbles, with the occasional watermelon treat. I realize this is short notice but i thought i would give it a shot they would have great life here. p.s. i don't eat my birds just enjoy watching them frolic and swim we also have 4 chicks 1 roo all pets.

I can meet him at Exit 112 Hegins, it's only about 15 mins from me. As soon as you exit there is a pretty big dirt parking area to pull off. I could meet him there.
I do not have carriers. though, I'd have to rig something up with cardboard boxes.
