1. If I built a 12'x12' pen (144 sf), 8' tall, for some turkeys, and put a 2nd level, 4' high, 4' wide, and 12' long (48 sf) inside it, would that be considered 192 sf? This would give them a 8'x12' space and two 4'x12' spaces. Could I house 10 turkeys (2 toms, 8 hens) in it comfortably?
2. Can a standard bronze tom mate with a bb bronze hen and be successful? Would the eggs hatch?
3. In order to help prevent the spread of any disease from chickens to turkeys, what would the best distance be from the chicken pens to the turkey pens? Or is it that they just do not need to be penned together?
4. When would be the latest in the year to buy poults in order for them to start laying and me hatching eggs for next year?
