Hi All,
I have 2 RI reds, 1 Black Star, 1 Fog horn and just added 2 young Malaysians to the flock We have a large coop with 5x8 floor space, 3 roosting bars and 8 nesting boxes. I have a 8x12 outdoor bird net covered run. I added the Malays in late August and all laying stopped. We also had a problem with mites which has been completely addressed. I feed them Layena crumble (as I want them to take time to eat) and they always have access to fresh clean water. We have a light on a timer for adequate light exposure. What am I doing wrong?

How old are these hens? I would try a higher protein ration. They also shouldn't be eating a layer unless they are laying.

What does that mean?

Describe the details of your lighting....duration, timer settings, when started, etc.

Age of birds?

also....
Where in this world are you located?
Climate is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, (laptop version shown), then it's always there!
