Hello my one chicken is laying 2 eggs some times not everyday and also I find just 2 separate ticks and whites under her roosting place they have no shells does she need to have more calcium because of her producing 2 eggs has anyone else had this problem I’m a new chicken owner and this bothering me I want to make sure she is ok she is not sick

Do you provide free choice oyster shells for calcium?
What kind of chickens do you have? The high production breeds can end up laying two eggs a day when they first start laying, their body needs to figure things out.
Yes they have them and layer food all the time and water I have different kinds I don’t now what they are called

Might put out a separate feeder with some Oyster Shell.
Some birds need more calcium than the layer feed provides.
Do you know which bird is laying the soft shells off the roost?

Could be stress too.
How big is your coop and run, in feet by feet?
Dimensions and pics(of coop, run, and birds) would help here.

Have all these birds lived together since they were chicks?
