2 month old can't use legs

Thankfully I don't use oyster shells but I'll file your experience away in my mental notes for the future. I don't suppose you have a picture of your chick chair setup?

There are holes for the legs so the feet barely touch the ground but they can't push themselves through. That excersize of them trying helps though.

I got a lot of ideas from that link you sent, Eggcessive, thank you! Her legs are very stiff because she's sitting on them all day. Just like it would be for us. So it's set up a sling day. I spoke with no less than four vets offices yesterday who all said a full exam probably x-rays and we're heading into $400 and I just wanted to know how much they would charge for euthanasia!

That is so helpful, thank you! It looks like a very good setup and I appreciate your being clear about her feet.

I looked to see if I had a different picture that showed us having a small dish of crumbles there and a vertical nipple water bottle above, but you'd figure it out. Like I mentioned, that's cutting a hunk off of a kitty litter bucket, and if you don't have one of those, it at least gives you the idea and you can come up with something!

Struggling a little. Even with the bin she flaps enough to get out. So much troubleshooting...I did figure something out, though. I thought she was screaming like hell because she was in pain, but she only does it when I'm putting her down. She wants me to hold her. I've created a monster.

So we're in the same shape as we were, she is gaining weight but because she can't hold herself up with her legs she tips forward from being "top heavy". The sling I made doesn't keep her from doing that. I took the strap off last night because it had poop on it and I don't think it was helping at all. I just bought some of that tape that sticks to itself but not the skin and my thinking now is to put a band of it between the shank just below the knee joint. What I can't figure out is how to keep her legs from stretching out behind her and in the proper flexion. Does any of this make sense? Does anybody have any new ideas? I'm flying blind here.
