About a week ago we noticed our chicken limping on her left leg. We locked her in an area that had her separated from the other chickens but she was still close to them. It slowly got worse and after a couple days she stopped using the other leg. Thinking she may have injured the right leg trying to use it to move around? She is eating fine, normal poo and no trouble breathing. We have had her inside the last few days and moving her legs around. My husband doesn't feel anything broken or dislocated.
The poor thing tries to move forward and seems to just want her legs stretched out behind her. She can kind of try to stand on them breifly so I don't think she's paralyzed. One of her feet will kind of grab if we put our finger under but the other wont.
Attaching pictures of how she normally maneuvers herself to be comfortable. I couldn't get video to upload so I took some screen shots of hubs moving her around and her trying to stand.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! We are newbies as of January and poor Peggy is our first struggle.
