2 month old chicks mating

Yes you read that correctly. About a month ago my cousin gave me 17 young chicks, they looked about 1 month old at the time, now i think they are 2 month old not sure, but they can't be 3 month old. They are all friends and always hang out together. 1 particular chick "A" (i'm not sure if it's a male or female) has been mounted by 2 male chicks "B and C" (i'm sure they are males) at different occasion. Is it possible that A is gay? it kind of looks like male. And the mating process happens smoothly, chick "A" wasn't running away screaming.

Males often mount one another, sometimes it’s just a dominance thing, similar to dogs.

It's probably just a dominance thing. I have one or two hens that step on other (it's not a mating thing) hens to show their dominance.

I have hens who mount each other to show dominance too.

Could just be a dominance thing. Pretty young for them to be mating already. If you post photos of your birds, forum members can help you identify the genders.

Yep, it’s a dominance thing. I have a chicken that mounts one of my other chickens and they’re both hens.
Many animals do it.

I often am able to spot out males at and early age but watching them attempt to mount the other birds, he probably doesn’t pay attention him being so young
