Hi All,
Just got 2 new girls to the flock, Dolly and Big Bertha one is an anthrop and the other is a silver laced Winthrop (sorry about sp) lol
The question that I have is whether or not to force the chickens to go inside of the coop, upon just arriving. They are from the same flock they were all raised together over at my mother in laws house, the 2 that I got first (Peaches & Luna) came over in one trip and the other 2 that we just got came over in a separate trip. They just got here and it is time to lock all the girls up to make sure that they are critter proof but the 2 new arrivals don't seem to want to go inside of the coop, instead they are perched on the log we have set up as a roosting spot out in the run. Is this a problem to leave them out, I don't want anything to be able to get them but I am not sure if forcing them to be in the coop this soon after arriving is going to stress them out?? Any suggestions???
