I have two 12 week old roos. The showed up out of ten sexed pullets. One is a astrolorp and the other is a New Hampshire. They have been togeather since the were about a week old. I was wondering if I could keep them togeather when they mature. I would keep them seprate from the hens all the time. I have a pen in a barn set up for turkeys right now but I could make it for them in a blink. The pen is probly big enough for 10 laying hens. I would keep whith the hens but we use them for 4h and an egg buiness. Last year we found out the hard to keep the roosters out of the hens. My buff orpington rooster Cocky tore up the hens by pecking their feathers out. He showed up in pullets too. I just love having roos around thats why I couldn't eat Cocky.

Many roos do not harm their hens. Actually, they often protect them. Both your roos are breeds which are often very good roos. Of course, individual chickens vary.

If they should both turn out to be mean roos, they will not do well penned together. More likely, you will be able to keep at least one with your hens. 10 hens is usually not enough for two roos; the ratio is 1 to 10.
