So my 5 new bantam hens spent a few days sequestered in their new coop, and today were allowed to venture out into the rest of their enclosure. I went out to check on them when I got home tonight, and 2 of the 5 (the Japanese and the D'Anvers) acutally managed to go back up the ramp and into the coop. Of the other 3, the two Cochins were at least smart enough to roost off the ground (on the arm of the lawn chair!). Then there was the Silkie... on the ground in the corner.
But anyway, I fully expected to have to round them ALL up and stick them back in the coop, so was pleasantly surprised to find that two of them had taken care of it themselves!
