1) After being broody (sadly, after 21 days of faithful sitting the wooden egg under her did not hatch...lol), how long does it take for hens to begin laying again. I was thinking maybe two weeks???
2) She's been shedding feathers like crazy since her broody period ended (molting I presume?). Is this typical for most hens after being broody???

Well I don't know if it's typical, but my persistently broody hen finally stopped being broody last year when she started molting. Unfortunately that meant she wouldn't lay all summer because of being broody, and then couldn't lay because of the molt. I got maybe 5 eggs out of that freeloader last season.
