I had 4 Polish hens and 2 red marans. Two of my Polish hens have been broody for about 5 weeks. I have tried to isolate them, but as soon as they are allowed in the coop, they go back to being broody. The other 2 Polish hens quit laying since this happened and one of them became lethagic and after a few weeks, she died. I don't know if her death was related to this or not, but the 2 broody hens have definitely disrupted the other birds. The 2 red marans don't seem to be bothered; however the other Polish hens are. My Polish hens usually quit laying when they molt in September and through the winter, so I am hoping to resolve this problem so that I can get eggs for the rest of the summer. I would love some advice.
