1 I checked my turkeys in the morning before work and all was well, I came home from work and one was dead. could one have killed the other? there were a few feathers around.

2 now that one is gone the other is all alone.

should I try to get another ?

How old are they? Are they in a coop? Are they both toms? Are they heritage birds or broad breasted? A little mor info would help. As for question 2, it will be fine by its self but a friend would be nice.

It will be fine.I dont think that the other one killed it.You now turkeys are suicidal. They will prefer to die than living in a not good environment(no offense). For him it might not be the best you know.

Also What's up with your avatar it creeps me out

none taken.
they are 9 weeks last Thursday, they are broad breasted. in a coop that I move at least once a day, they were with 10 Cornish crosses. and I feed them dumor starter/grower. here are some pics of the coop, please let me know if there is anything wrong with it. I do plan on having more chickens and turkeys. I would prefer to keep them together but am willing to make another coop if i have to.
thanx

Your coop is good enough for 10-15 chickens. But seriously I think you should get a friend for this guy.At least a chicken not a turkey if you cant get one.

turkeys are a flock animal, ive scene plenty of folks keep just 1, personally tho id get yours a friend even if it is another poultry friend of a different kind.

That's a big tractor. Plent of room, shelter, and it looks clean. I'd get him a few pals, 4 or 5, and raise them up. That is too much room to waste, and raising 5 turkeys isn't much harder than raising 1 or 2.

Any symptoms that were out of the ordinary?

No symptoms that were out of the ordinary, fine in the morning saying hello to me then in the evening dead. i always check them before i leave and as soon as i come home.
so you think i can just get like 4 more Poults, and when they are 3/4 weeks put them with him? I can put more then one tom together right?

Is the run covered? Just wondering if you found anything amiss besides the feathers (no wounds, etc.?). Are you raising the BBB for Thanksgiving? Yes, you could keep more than one tom but I'd suggest Heritage breeds (they will spar with one another - don't know as coping with the potential aftermath of BBB toms sparring, e.g., heart attacks/leg injuries) would be worth the worry.
