This is not for me but for a friend. he asked me If his mixed flock (with his 2 roosters) would peacefully. Both were raised together this spring and recently both have gotten more hormonal. 1 cockerel is a jersey giant and the other cockeral is a wyandotte. Both are roughly the same size and share 14 hens the same age. Could they coexist? Any advice would help thanks!

Thanks -alec

Some roosters will do OK with each other especially if raised together. They may "overbreed" the females though, and the hens may have missing feathers on their backs from this. You may eventually need just a few more hens to go around. But I would wait and see how they do. Things might be OK.

If they start injuring each other, you can try to put them together in a pen with no ladies- when there are no ladies they may stop fighting.

But little bit of arguing and showing who is higher on the pecking order is normal. The alpha rooster will school the lower rooster frequently until he learns his place. That is normal and is to be expected- so you will see some sparring.

I think it is good to keep a backup rooster. All it takes is one predator attack and it is easy to lose your rooster. Just my opinion.
