i’ve always wanted chickens, i decided to incubate 6 eggs because that’s what i was able to get and only 3 hatched :(
we’ve always thought 2 were hens and one rooster till they got a little older, 2 roosters !! they’re about 3 months old now it’s a little confusing since the “hen/rooster” doesn’t have wattles or a big comb, i don’t know what to do, are they gonna fight to death or will they be nice because they were raised together? help :(

sadly it's different with every bird, however personally, i've never had problems with roos that had been raised together. now for your little girl, i'd suggest getting her a saddle to avoid any feather loss for when your roos try to mate with her. though it's unlikely they'll get along forever with only one hen around

They could be nice together for now but chances are probably not forever, you can invest your time into a rooster flock (look them up on here, they make a good read if nothing else!) but I would invest in some more hens/pullets and pick your favorite boy :'( If you need help sexing them please feel free to post photos and we can help!

Can you post a picture to confirm he's a he? Otherwise, you can make a separate pen for the rooms since they will be really hard on one girl. Even if you get her a saddle, she may be constantly chased around and tortured. You either get rid of one roo and find some more hens for your girl, or separate the boys away from the lady so they won't fight, and ounce again get her more hens. Keep us posted, Avery

i love them both, i could never bring myself to get rid of one of them :(, here are some pictures, they sleep inside right now and go out during the day, their pen is still under construction and i don’t have the heart to leave them outside while they stare at me through the window and peck at the door, don’t worry we clean everyday :)

beans is the the gold and black one, the one with the yellow comb is nuggets and the other colored one is noodles :)

to be honest with y’all i have no clue, i’m not a chicken expert :(, i got the eggs from my friend down the street, they have little roosters/hens and the big ones 😔 i don’t even know what they’re called but i’ll ask !

Are they both the same age? The third, is looking like roo markings but it depend on breed? The tail feathers and comb are throwing me off, or maybe i'm jus trying to convince my self he isn't a roo for you!
yes they’re all 3 months old :)
