2 Silkie Bantams...Help! I think I got 2 boys again!!

The partridge one died when we had a sudden cold snap and this is my last one ... we've raised so many Silkies and never managed to get a female!!! I do have another rooster and he has no other small friends so maybe that's why he hasn't crowed. I've never seen him in a nest box either and I assume if it was a girl I would have by now!

Not necessarily. I had one hen lay her first egg at 12 months old.
 
No. Not at all. And there's no long saddle feathers

Silkies can be hard to sex in the traditional way since their feathers are so different. The telltale way I've always sexed my silkies is through the 'streamer' feathers coming out the back of the crest. It's more obvious in some but I do think I see some in yours. Hens will also usually have pretty flat combs, and to me it looks like your guy has a little more comb growth than that. Sorry to hear that you have yet to own a silkie hen...hopefully you'll end up with one soon! He is a cute little guy. :)
