Hi! New to chickens, but reading like crazy. We got 6 barred rock chicks and they are 2 weeks old. I know it’s too early to REALLY tell, but I know there can be some differences among barred rocks early. Miss Fritter (we have a Cars themed flock) is on top and Lizzie on bottom. Miss Fritter (and one other not pictured) have always been larger than the others. Any guesses??

Now that your chicks are older, you could post photos again, and maybe someone will be able to tell. Of course, if you already figured it out, then you won't need to :)

Barred Rock cockerels and pullets can have slightly different coloring, and sometimes it is obvious, but not always. I cannot see any gender-specific differences in the photos you posted.

But the chicks sure are cute!

The one lightest in color is our biggest rooster suspect right now! They are 5 weeks old.
