Just bought these wonderful, cuddly Amauracanas today that are around two weeks old and were unidentifiable as hens or roosters. Can anyone tell me which they are? They are so gentle and loving towards us and each other.

Awesome thank you! How will I be able to tell? New to raising chicks, have only ever had hens. And in the pictures you can't see the wings but both wings on both birds already have feathers. We bought them at jax and were told that they are almost 2 weeks:)
I'm already in love with them

So puffy and cute!!! I just bought two easter eggers both so puffy and so cute. Those the one gave me a scare...I think she is just slower mentally which will be fine!

Well I though I bought six pullets but when one if my americanas began to crow at six weeks I knew we had a rooster in the bunch. His comb is bigger than the hens and it began to get red at like 4 weeks. He's cute though!

Definitely adorable, but not two weeks old, two days, as someone else suggested, is probably closer. Below is a picture of my two week old chicks, far more feathers, far less down. (EE in the middle, SS to the left, Red (ya, right) sex link to the right). They grow FAST.

The combs on the males will be larger and redder, sometimes you can't tell until they start crowing though. They are really cute! My easter egger was so sweet and loved to cuddle :) I'm kicking myself for not ordering any this time around....might have to make a trip to the feed store ;)

These are 3 days old (the chick with her back to the camera and the one to the right are EEs)

Wings come in FAST.

Oh, and they should be sexable by pattern once feathered so ~6 weeks.
