How is the chick doing now?

I think organic feeds are great for mature birds, but for chicks, I prefer the medicated chick starter that has amprol in it. As well, for the first week, I give my chicks a product called Super Booster, which has penicillin and vitamins in it.

I rarely lose a chick with this combination.

You can always switch them to organic when they get bigger.

Just a note about the medicated feed - you don't want to give chicks that have been vaccinated for cocci the medicated feed. From my reading the vaccination and the medicated feed cancel each other out.

Gave water by eyedropper last night and this morning little chickie seems fine! It was a pretty hot day yesterday so perhaps between that and the heat lamp they were too hot..... Anyway i have a plan to relocate them all today to a larger space that will be more temp stable regardless of outdoor temps today. I am so happy to have a good end to this thread! Thanks to you all for your comments - it is so nice to have a group to help
