Help! I noticed Hazel, my 2 week old Easter Egger, has a squishy super swollen belly. I think it might be mushy chick disease but I have no idea. She's acting fine, eating and drinking like normal, but her belly is really concerning. I've been giving her garlic and ACV. The caked on stuff is garlic paste. I want to treat her naturally, without any vet visits. Any advice is appreciated!

Can you wash off all the paste, get some photos of the belly and the vent?

Is the navel closed?

Fluid. What do you recommend?
I the exact location on the lower keel bone? Doesn't look like the abdomen.

If it's the Keel bone, then it maybe a giant breast blister. Breast blisters are easy, they just need a small cut, or poke from a needle, then squeeze the fluids our from under the skin.

Yes, it probably is the lower keel bone.

She has been swollen since day one, does it still make sense that it would be a blister? If I do try to pop it and it isn't a blister, would that be really bad? Do you know where I can get more information on those blisters? Thanks!

I don't think it'll hurt to relieve the fluid from under the skin.
