I have 14 two week old chicks and I noticed a couple days ago that they were sneezing. I'd say all or most are sneezing and if I'm out there say 30 minutes, I might hear a dozen sneezes. The chicks are in an insulated garage, they are on non medicated chick feed/chick grit. I feed them mealworms/crickets as treats. They have poultry electrolytes in their water. They are in a cardboard brooder box with pine shavings/ground corncob bedding . They aren't showing any other symptoms, they are active, eating, drinking, pooing, etc etc. I do not notice any discharge from eyes, mouth, nose. I wasn't sure if I should do anything? Should I put ACV in the water instead of electrolytes? It's been going on about 3 days. Thanks!

P.S. I went to check on them just a few minutes ago, and I noticed one baby who has a little dark area between her nostrils. She has a tiny pin hole in her beak? :( I don't know what happened, it wasn't there 2 hours ago. It isn't oozing blood or bleeding out, but I can see a speck of red as if there is a tiny bit of blood underneath. What should I do for her? Ty

Dust and mildew can cause these symptoms. Have they been vaccinated ? Yes acv and Greek yogurt would be my first line of treatment. It might also be a good idea to change their bedding.
Hope it's nothing more serious .

They were vaccinated against Marek's and when I first got them I did a 7 day preventative treatment of Corid in their water b/c Iost two and was afraid. so could be the pine shavings? It's a tiny tiny hole, but I will watch them. Can you put Neosporin on chicks?

Yes you can use neosporin. I'm not familiar with ground corn cob , is that dusty? I didn't have much success with wood shavings. I found my chicks were trying to eat it. Now I use shredded paper for the first week or so, then switch to oaten chaff, which works fine so long as it doesn't get wet. Just another thought, do you have them under a heat lamp. Do they huddle up together??

I have a heat lamp, yes. And no, they are more spread out. No huddling. They sleep all over the place. It's the husks, and it is a little dusty. I've sneezed from it a bit.
