This is our second year with chicks. First time with cornish cross. We just brought home 40 cornish cross from orscheln's they are 2 weeks old. After them being in the brooder for 2-3 hours we have one dead and 6-8 looking very lethargic and limp in your hand when held. The others are acting cold all bunched up but the temp is 80-85, which from what i have read is about right for them. We have provided plenty of water and food and we have seen them eating and drinking. What could be a possible cause of this issue and what could we do to possibly save our chicks?
Thanks

What are you using for bedding? It has to be kept dry. If the chicks are getting wet, they will get cold and die. Add more pine shavings and increase the heat a little. Are you using heat lamps? Add electrolytes/vitamins (poultry kind) to their water. Maybe post pictures if you can so others can see your setup.
