2) What is the behavior, exactly...wheezy breathing, thin-lost weight
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? first noticed tonight...possibly for the past 24 hours (last time they were checked on)

6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. Nothing that I know of
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all...on medicated chick starter and tap water
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. poop looks normal thus far
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? none yet
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? home treatment if possible
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use. in a wire brooder with paper towel bedding...under a heat lamp, no drafts.

We did our nightly feed and noticed one of the maran chicks is smaller and thinner than the rest. Upon further inspection she has labored breathing and has wheezing lung sounds. This was not noticed last night but last nights feeding was rushed. I have tylan 50 on hand. Is it at least somewhat safe to use on a bird this young? We have used it with great success in older chickens with similar symptoms. What would be the dosage for it if I can use it?

I recommend you use 1/10cc, because tylan is administered by weight of the bird.... 1/4cc would be for the size of a bantam. I dont recommend injecting neither since you stated that the chick is smaller/thinner than the rest. Orally would be best, once a day x 7 days.
