Hello guys!

Got 3 baby Uccle on Sunday. They are ~2 weeks old.
I noticed yesterday night (Monday) that one of them has a wet butt.

It's not the smallest of the batch nor the biggest.
Eat, drink, snuggle with the others.
The 2 others are fine.

I saw all 3 poop this morning. No diarrhea with any of them.
No hard poop of pasty butt

They have electrolyte, medicated food (for coccidiosis) and probiotic.

Any idea?

(It didn't fell into the water dish)

I saw a couple of post about vent gleet, but at that age I found this very unlikely.

They are on a pee pad at the moment
Were on pine shaving at the breeder.
They are inside.

I'm waiting an answer from the breeder.

Hoping someone has a clue regarding this.

Is the down on the butt simply wet or is there mucous?

How is the chick behaving? Any different than its little pals? Is there anything else out of the ordinary about the chick?

I took a picture or two tonight.
What was wet this morning is more like a crusty thing tonight.

I found the like thing very noisy, chirping a lot (I would too with a butt like that). It also tries to hide under the others.

Maybe it's a pasty butt afterall, with the stress of new environment and all?

Since this chick is on the watch list, I suggest giving it a few drops of Nutri-drench and some warm sugar water.

As for the wet butt, keep a close watch that the vent doesn't become pasted over by actual poop you can see. Also, it might be a good idea to take a cotton ball dampened in a little warm water and try to wipe the fluid off the down, then blow dry it. This will make it wasier to see if this was in fact a wet butt due to getting too close to the water or if this is something that is ongoing that we need to be concerned about.

Update this morning

I wash the wet butt little dude yesterday night and dried it.

I don't think it's pasty butt.
This morning its starting to be wet again. I checked more closely. Its really coming from the vent as a clear white-ish liquid. He is trying to clean it but it's only spreading the wetness all over.

It dries aa a pasty white-yellow all over, that is easy to clean.

I kind of want to try fungal cream. What do you think?

How warm is the brooder directly under the heat source? How warm is it at the farthest point away from the heat source? Overheating is the number one cause of watery poop.

I'll check once I'm back home. However, it's really mucous and not watery poop.

Chick is chirping a lot, in discomfort. Wings are hanging low a bit to my taste, if I compare them to the rest of the brood

The chick could be constipated. Pick up some coconut oil on your way home. Divide about a teaspoon of oil into smaller bits and chill until hard. Pry open the beak and give the pieces directly into the chick's beak.
