Two of my hens hatched 3 chicks and they are 2 weeks old. I separate them from other hens, no roosters. But, those little ones keep escaping from the coop! The other hens haven't attack or hurt them yet. But, I am wondering when I can combine them together with other hens with moms. Would moms protect them from other hens? If I have to separate them, how long should I separate them?
Also, when the moms would start laying eggs again?
Thanks!

The mother hens will protect the chicks from any problems. Make sure that your chicks can get to the roosting area before combining them. The moms will lay again after they have weaned off their chicks.

Thanks! Did you mean roosting area where other hens are sleeping?
