I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say that's a Spitzy.

Looks more like a Golden AS to me than a GL Polish.

Nope. the gold color is much lighter than the red. I also have not seen a red appenzeller at a hatchery before-you are MUCH more likely to get a GL polish than a red appenzeller.

Oh-if there is a golden variety I will change my vote to appenzeller. I am not entirely familiar with the breed, but when I looked at pics of red ones the color was completely off, so that probably messed me up a bit. Either way you're going to have a beautiful chicken!
