So far Peep has been the most mature looking peacock I have had at 2 years old:
As you can see I haven't had a peacock that has gotten a nice train at age 2. Usually I sure wish one would have a nice train that early!
Speaking of white peacocks, do you find that your white peacock's eye feathers are not as good of quality as an India Blue peacock's eye feathers? I am really annoyed with my white peacock because I have a special plan for his white eye feathers which is why I am keeping all of them, but they are so ugly. Unlike a normal peacock eye feather they don't stick together to form the eye that well, they are thin, the herl isn't impressive, etc. I don't think it is just me seeing the difference between the color version and the white version I really think his eye feathers are of bad quality. Perhaps he isn't good at preening himself. I did notice this year his shed train feathers still have that plastic-like stuff all over them. He must have hardly been preening them.
