I have 2 toms. One bonked his head fairly hard flying out of the coop maybe 3 months ago?

He was always the submissive Tom, but this spring the other Tom is being especially hard on him. Pinning him in a corner and pecking him for hours probably before I found him. I separated for a few weeks and all was calm again.

Then last week the submissive one was off kilter. Stumbling and sometimes tumbling even. If I gently hold him steady, he can walk straight. He’s hungry and will eat if he can get to it. I’ve also been hand feeding him, but I work 11 hours a day now ☹️.

so: hard bonk on head, disoriented, walks in circles if startled, falls over if startled, can right himself, probably blind in one eye(pecked), still has appetite, stool is watery but normal for amount he is probably eating. What do you think it could be? Head injury? Disease?

Hubby wants to euthanize because it is hard to see ☹️, but if he can pull thru? I wanted to give him a chance.

So I’ve read some more “suggested “ posts. It seems like most injured turkeys get wobbly/weak/staggering? He has no visible injuries, but hit his head really hard. He stood in a daze in the corner for quite a while with his eyes half closed.
