2 yr old hen squat, goes to nesting box but no eggs

I have a 2+ yr old red star, who has stopped laying for 6 months.
Didn't seem like she is molting, but possibly really really light molt.
Lately i noticed that she goes to the nesting box every day and sit inside for a while but never an egg. She also squats.

Any idea?

She might be an internal layer. Does she have any abdominal swelling?

Still no eggs. She sure looks prettier than ever (since she doesnt lay, all the goodies we feed her go to feather making).
Any idea?

One of chickens is like that,she goes to the nesting box, sits for a bit, but no egg, then she just walks out as if nothing happened!

It might be because she might be old or she can't be bothered to lay an egg!
