The Ozarks
I found my 2 yr old hen sitting on the poop board yesterday morning. I placed her on the floor of the coop where she went to a corner and squatted. I left her alone thinking needed some time to herself.
She didn't leave the coop, so I brought her in and gave her an epsom soak. This morning she's a bit better. A normal poop and had a few sips of water and food. Her crop is empty and I'm finding no egg. Her breathing seem a bit like panting and she's still squatting/waddling. Not sure what else to look for or try.
I'll try to share a couple pics and video here.

Thoughts on what's happening and what I can do to help her?

When was her last egg?

If she's not laid an egg and should have, get some Calcium into her ASAP.

You can find Calcium Citrate+D3 at stores like Walmart, CVS, etc. Give her 1 tablet now, then once daily for 5 days. If you don't have Calcium Citrate+D3, give her 1 TUMS now, then once daily for 5 days.

See that she's drinking well and provide normal feed. While you are tending to her check for lice/mites and check her crop first thing in the morning to make sure it's emptying.

Thanks for responding!
No lice/mites but maybe a leg injury? Not sure.
I'm concerned about an egg issue, since I don't have any idea how long it's been. I gave her a 1/4 tablet of 750mg TUMS about an hour ago. How long until I know if it's working?
Should I get the Calcium Citrate+D3, is that substantially better?

Give her a whole TUMS if that's what you have on hand.
