Be sure to wait at least 12 hours before you take them out (They are fine for up to 24 hours) so that any other chicks trying to hatch currently don't have to deal with a hardened membrane from you opening the door.

so a few days ago i float tested the remaining four eggs and they all seemed to have life in them. today I had one quail hatch the other eggs had me concerned so i float tested them again, they were lifeless so i gently cracked them open and had fully developed dead chicks in the last three eggs. so I have another dozen eggs to go in the bator, what should i change so this doesn't happen again. Thanks !

So in all, how many eggs hatched out of how many that were incubated? I am currently incubating 52 eggs and my temps and humidity are fluctuating more than I hoped. Would be interested in your stats and data...
