Go BROWNS
When I moved back to Mentor I had no idea that they banned them while I was away! I am going to make my best effort to try to figure out how to put it back in its proper place. This site may be my saving grace to make this 'pip'-dream a reality.
I heard through a grapevine that there is currently a person or persons in the midst of a dispute with the city over currently owned chickens. As of this post I have yet to locate this party. So knowing that I am not alone helps a tad... but I need to find any and all to join forces and get it done right the second time around.
I am new to this arena and need all the help I can get.
Am OPEN to any suggestions, opinions, insights, facts, etc. that will excel me (us) in this cause (fight).
You guys are my 'egg' in the hole and I look forward to any feedback.
I don't want to break the law, just the ban.

Please see if you can help me regarding my poll below..ummm, scratch that, as now I have to figure out where they hid it. As soon as I do that I'll post it. It was here three days ago!?
*I wanted to know who has been, is, or will be... going through the same. I need to know how they did it, will be doing it, or what game plan they think is best to run with.
It's probably already on here but I need to sleep sometime!
Being Type A isn't helping either.
I tend to do things bass-ackwards but have faith in my peops to keep me on the straight and narrow.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to any help you may see fit to send my way.
I also look forward to seeing where this fox hole may go!
First stop...Poll thread!
This site keeps 'slapping' me in the face with my OWN ADHD! (And) I love it :)
Power to the people and all the fowl that drive them. You guys give me hope for a future full of chickens. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Meg (HugHess)

I know this post is a few months old.

You can have chickens in Mentor if you own 2 plus acres of land. Anything smaller than that you can not. Matter of fact as long as you have 2 acres you can have most barnyard animals. It's in the cities by laws.

As for the person who, some time in the last few years tried to have chickens and had to get rid of them. I know they had a facebook page at one time but not sure if it's still up.

I live in the Headlands area of Mentor. Would love to have some chickens but too many personal things going on right now. Once they are settled then I'm going to tackle getting started with chickens.
