2009 Quilt block of the month - February

Ok, I have resisted as long as I can. Please put me down for the swap. I'm new at this but will give it a whirl.

Oops, I forgot to add that any color and fabric is fine but since you asked, I like reds, greens, blues

rather than pastel colors for a quilt.

I am interested. Do you do like one block that is "your signature block?" like if I found one I liked and wasnt to hard for me could I send that to every one? just in thier color? I think I could pull this off just one a month shouldnt be too hard!

You can make them all the same out of the same fabric if you want ! The color s are just suggestions but are not a have too. Come on and join us it's great fun !

Man a girl can't even get knee surgery and have to be off the board a few weeks except for quick catch ups and all heck breaks loose.

Ok I will bite as well. Sign me up for 2 put me down for all 12 months.

Doesn't really matter to me as far as color goes. I like the idea of the labels would love to have the state added as well. I like the idea of a piece of material for the label so ya can piece it into your backing, but that is me.

I like to make big quilts so I will be making 2 of every block and keeping one for myself to add to the rest of the blocks I get.

I am really looking forward to sharing this with ya all. I joined Miss Prissy's at the last minute and am so glad that I did. It was fun and I have had a great time picking the material that I plan on using to make it into a bigger quilt.

Amy I am thinking on your swap, just trying to figure if I can get 10 to 20 blocks done by the end of March don't want to commit and not be able to follow thru with it.

Thanks for letting me join girls, and thanks for putting so much thought and work into this swap. I am so excited that there are so many that are new to sewing and quilting. I am honored to be in this with them as the cycle is only complete when more people learn and pass that knowledge on. I am not a professional but I do ok. Most of ya were on Miss Prissy's so ya know that already LOL.

. We sure can get attached to them can't we? I have a cockatoo I have been kind of birdsitting for the last (I think it has been about) 3 maybe 4 years now. He is a character and I will sure miss him when he leaves.

Wow!!! All of the wonderful sign ups and the blocks that are being shown, this is great! I get to go shopping tomorrow (ops, later today) for fabric! I can hardly wait (can't sleep either. My daughter is going skin me for staying up so late. We have a nail appointment in the morning and she is driving 25 miles just to get here

so I will see what I can find at the fabric stores around here, that I might be able to
