AHA! Found it!

I'm in, please! Put me on for 4 blocks this month, if possible.

I want to sew my fingers off before I have to go back to work in Sept.

Thanks you! I used the pattern for Cubed Lattice but I moved some of the pieces to suit how I wanted it to look. I almost decided to turn it into Bachelor's Puzzle which is the same block rearranged. I think they call that a sister block. (The same pieces just rearranged.)

I received a beautiful black & white floral "rail fence" type quilt block today! Only problem is I'm in a few block swaps and I'm not sure who it's from! I think I narrowed it down to: CedarRigdechicks, Christine, is that one from you?

If so, thank you so much, it's right up my alley !! It's not a themed one, and it's not Christmas-y, so.... it must be from you! Thank you....

Please let me know if I'm right.....

ummmm, yes, we would like to see a picture!! lol!!

I like that rail fence pattern, Heather sent me a block using it and I like it too, need to try that! I really seem to prefer the applique and the rounder shapes though, jeez I must be odd!! Speaking of which...does anyone have an idea of what pattern this is and where I might find it? I have looked and looked and looked some more. I have even looked through vintage sites as I know it's an older pattern....I guess I'll just draw it out unless someone knows what it's called? Appreciate any help with it!! It came off the top of Penny Halgren's newsletter about quilting, I did send her a question about it but got no response, sooooo, anyone know what it is?

I've been looking thru my historical reference books and have found some sketches that look like your photo. The quilt is actually not a plate but a spiral or circle block.
the Baltimore Museum is the source of a Pinwheel quilt that is a match for your photo.
Another is Feathered Star - source is OCS/Wheeler

Other names could include Rising Sun (LAC #177), Wagon wheel (Hearth and Home), Flywheel (Grancmother Clark Book 20. 1931). Circle Saw (KC Star), Wheel of Life (Home Art), Oklahoma Star (Lithgow)
The source in ( ) is actually where the pattern was first documented.

I'll see if I can find a website link for you.
