Glad you liked it 17Roses. FrChuckW liked his as well.

Thanks Luna and Scrambled.

That is 4 bow tie blocks put together. They were practice for the fall swap, only there are different colors in the fall blocks.

I have done bow tie before. My first quilt block was the Double wedding ring LOL that one I am still working on. I have to change one of the fabrics because it is not working it is unraveling.

My next one was the bowtie LOL. Here is a funny story about that first bow tie quilt LOL. There is 5 - 4 1/2 inch squares in each bowtie block, so I figure out how many I am going to need for my queen size quilt, my sister tells me not to forget that I need 5 of each. So not really knowing what I am doing I listen to her and I times it by 5 LOL. Well I had already figured it out right so I ended up making 4 queen size quilts and a full size out of those blocks LOL of course they were all sewed together when I went to put the quilt top together into a pattern and found that I had way to many blocks for one quilt LOL. The best part was that I went to joann's and had them cut me 5 inch pieces of all those different materials LOL. That was years ago and they still talk about those quilts and cutting all those 5 inch pieces of fabric. Too funny, Thanks for letting me share

Again 17Roses glad you liked your block.

I am not an enabler, I am not an enabler, I will not post these links I found surfing the web last night, I don't want to get my fellow quilters in trouble.

Thanks for the link Scrambled I will be looking into this newsletter.

Hey Scrambled - love the string quilts, and they are so easy! We had Gwen Marston come to our guild last summer for a class and she showed us a way to make them even EASIER if you can believe that! It's one of my favorites for quick gift quilts like babies, etc.

Can you explain how it can be done easier? I would like to do one myself. Is there a paper piecing pattern to strip quilting?
