2014 breeding season begins, post your results

Higher humidity while incubating and hatching, then low pip to zip and out time will end crooked toes.I use shipping tape that is clear, cut a piece about 5" long, then carefully place the toes so they are not leaning one way or the other, but straight and level, then fold tape over the top and press together between each toe and cut off the excess.I've had one group that hatched this summer so far that gave me more grey hairs than I cared for when we lost power for 6 hours. But the last two groups has basically been perfect.

Two questions; Is it difficult to get the tape off? And does the slipperiness of the tape give them footing problems while it is on? And how long do you leave it on? OK, that was three...

Not that I don't like mine, lol, but your chick looks like it's going to be very fancy with lots of color.

Our own kids are always cuter aren't they? Still, I really like the color in yours.

Meet Prince, DW named this little two week old Prince because of the colors on the head. It is from my Pied pen, daddy is Pied White Eye and mama is an IB Pied.

Quote: And I like the color in yours! Gotta love the scale pics, too, lol.

Edited to add that these are not very tame, so I had to put them in a dark room and take their pictures, lol.
