2014 breeding season begins, post your results

This broody is a Japanese Bantam, so her chicks will be her size in a few weeks, lol. My two cochins are waiting for your eggs, lol. Funny, all three of these hens went broody this time last year and that was it for them until now. All three are five years old, I think.

I have 2 little serama hens who are broody as all get out, but they draw the line at Peacock eggs. Those are just too big for them and they won't stay setting on them. The one isn't much bigger than a pigeon.

She's waiting for PA eggs, lol.

I tried that last year with an Old English Game bantam, that was funny! What I really want is a broody giant Cochin , but none of mine have ever shown any interest. :(

Don't know if this actually belongs in this thread, but since it is related to the breeding season why not! I just came up from my barn, and I had to separate my bachelor silver pied and his roommate a white male who is a year younger. These 2 have been together for the past several years and have been fine, neither has ever bred a hen. The silver being the older of the 2 has always been dominant, but it looks like he got his butt whooped big time today. I picked up about 15 wing feathers that he lost and his crest is completely gone, some blood on the back of his head and on his face. I cannot get a really good look as he is not a "People person Pea" if you know what I mean. Hubby is out on the town for a work related dinner so I have no help tonight, I'll have to get him to hold the silver tomorrow so I can examine his head and apply first aid if needed. I have tooooo many males!

Thanks, that's actually from last year, bit she and her sister did just start sitting.

Well I've got 4 for you so far. So I should be able to ship Monday. Got a BS egg tonight finally, no IB eggs yet, but I figured you had plenty of those already.
