Hello everyone!
I really need to talk to someone who knows a little bit about geese, so I thought I'd post in this thread and ask if you have some time to scan through a thread I started in the incubation section https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/1083946/bunch-of-eggs-overwhelmed-and-no-clue
The summary is that I have a giant pile of goose eggs, a mother who doesn't seem interested, a duck that does, and no clue what I'm doing. It would be great if someone would say "Here's what I would do...."
Thanks for your help!
I'm the only person here and it's an easy referenceYour living room wall:,)![]()
I only understand the buff and grey genetics that's about it
I think it's really fun and interesting!
Using this system I can create different buff bloodlines![]()

poultrybonkers, if it were me, I would get a 2nd thermometer to verify temperature is 99.5 at egg height, reduce humidity to 25-30%, remove auto turner and lay eggs on side, turning by hand 3x per day. Then after day 7, begin with short 3-5 minute cooling and light spritz once per day.
You could make an incubator yes, or you could buy one online. If you want you can go ahead and toss those 5-6 eggs and just wait for her to lay more, she should lay for a couple more months.
Please help me my grey goose eggs after they been in incubator since last night in the upright position they all have wobbly aircels or they move how long do I not move them or turn them? This is my first time and I'm so worried to do something wrong,I just don't want to not turn them and have them stick in the shell, any info would be great thank u so much.Hey everyone whats the craic! it's that time of year again for gosling's so prepare yourselves for cuteness and a heck load of information!
Hope everybody will have healthy and successful hatches with their geese and their incubators.
We have Hatchalongs every year and love seeing newcomers and beginners join us over the breeding season till the end of the year. And people not hatching eggs can tag along for the fun of it
There are a lot of people with experience with geese here on BYC so ask as many questions as you want which also includes questions about goose diseases, what sex geese you have and of course incubating questions etc.
Can't wait to see everybody's gosling's this year and hope you guys will learn a lot through this process.
Let the Hatch-a-long of 2016 BEGIN!

Hey angelmilke, how long are they in the incubator? You turn the eggs atleast 3 times a day (better hatch results if you turn more).
You stop turning at day 27 leave them until the pipping will happen.
Don't know if that's what you needed to know! Ask us more questions if needed!
