Thanks!  Her and the buff Orpington are both still pullets as we got them at 3 months old right when the rest of the flock was starting to slow down in prep for the winter.  I'm hoping they start laying soon once we get a few more daylight hours!

They are both so pretty! I have Silver and Golden laced Wyandottes as well as Buff Orpingtons! I just hatched 11 Buff Orpinton chicks as well. What is the other chicken in the picture? Welsummer? Kinda hard to guess when all I can see is a fluffy butt.

Welp, we got a new foot of snow over night. Better make the most of it and take more pics I guess!



Their favorite place to go when it snows is under the mini trailer. Still plenty of nice dirt to scratch and roll around in!

Also, I noticed my slw pullet's comb and wattles are starting to redden up. Fingers crossed the girls'll break their winter egg strike and start laying again soon!

Mom was a slw, dad is ??? Got him from the feed store after the lady that hatched him gave him to them to be sold on once she figured out he was a cockerel. There's more pics of him over here!
