I've found that silkies do wonderful for photography. They usually stay where I put them. It also helps that I've bred for friendliness and many of them follow me like dogs.

I "think" it's the same hen in the pictures. She has a half sister of the same coloring, just slightly more color. I wish the grey on the crest didn't bleach out with all the sun exposure.

I think silkies are so beautiful I accidentally got some in April with my TSC chick day purchase and I love them, so I might have questions along the way if I run into issues with them, my avatar is a picture of one not sure if it's a rooster or hen.

Silkies are notoriously hard to sex until they crow or lay. I cheat sort of because partridge is sexable by color after they are a few months old.

You can post some close up pictures of the comb and a side view of the bird in the silkie thread and we can try and guess there.
