Now I need to plan what to do with the coop. It's pretty bad
I've considered buying similar prefab coops myself, with the expectation that they only hold a few chickens and don't last for very many years-- so I've been watching yours to see how well they last, and what goes wrong with them.

If rather it was that one than one of the metal frames. To be honest, it was falling apart and the wind was awful (had to wait in the coop for a half hour for the wind to die down enough to run to the house and my eyelids are all scratched from the dirt). Just hadn't gotten around to fixing it up again

It was also almost 3 years old I think too, so....
 
Glad they are doing ok! Our big problem is snow (& rain this year…the mud is atrocious no matter the drainage)! Too many trees to block the wind.
Snoe is a major problem here roo. Had drifts so bad the mean ram got out once a few years ago and every year people drive off the road into ditches and the only road out gets closed due to ice at least once a winter
