2021 Chick Order

Pics
Also I might have found what Big Boy and his mystery sister are. TSC here doesnt really know where they get all their birds, just that most do come from Hoovers.

IDEAL has a Broiler breed coming next year that looks almost just like them, and it would explain the size (I have to weigh him, but he seriously is no joke).
https://www.idealpoultry.com/produc...ler chicks are black, and feet and deep bodies.

They don't look super super like them as chicks, but 2 I got were black and yellow (I think these two, could be Big Boy and a different hen though)

But I know occasionally project breeds get sent out a year or two prior as extras, and these were never labeled at the store

Weighed some birds today. Scale started acting up, so I couldn't get Big Boy's weight unfortunately, but he is a good deal heavier feeling than Glenn

Mosaic cockerel [a bit skinny feeling, I don't think he was eating a lot because he was constantly spilling his feed] (also from May)

In the first picture you just posted, is that a white chicken or is she a very pale yellow? I keep looking at the picture and can't decide.

And in the second picture, what breed is the white one that has a few black speckles around her neck? Maybe one of your Mosaics, since her face is rather gray?

They all look nice :thumbsup

Yep, if I'm thinking if the same one you are, that's my MoonBeam mosaic.

Are you talking about the sebright, the feather legged bantam or the standard next to the feather legged bantam that's eating?

It's small, maybe bantam, and I think it's got feathered legs.

The one I'm asking about is facing down, has a Buff Laced Sebright to the right, a gray-and-white patterned bird to the left, and a red tail almost bumping its breast. (Down, right, and left being as I look at the photo, not from the bird's perspective.)

She's the lightest-colored bird in the photo.

Ahh, she's tricky because sbe is white with pale yellow spangling/mottling 😅 She's one of my gold neck D'uccle girls
