sadly, Fred got hit in the road. I'm pretty sure his white chicken is still sad about it. She's been kind of an outcast ever since.

Oh that's awful about Fred, I am so so sorry. Hopefully the white hen will be OK. I had a pair sticking together all their lives, after one of them passed, the other was mentally lost for 3 months. She was never the same, but she did make a new friend eventually.
