I came home yesterday (day 20) and went to check on the eggs in my Brinsea Eco20. Lo and behold I was met by a bunch of clamoring fuzzy butts

. What looked like 5 or 6 packed in there ended up becoming 11. then this morning it was full with another 10 and one egg pipping. It looks like I'll have 22 of 24 on this latest hatch. Boy this Brinsea works like a charm.

Yippee!!! So exciting. I'm going to my very first chicken swap this weekend, as long as all goes right, working on a small glitch with work but either way I've ordered 24 Salmon Faverolle eggs and if I can't make it, a friend will pick them up for me. So I'm counting down the hours until I can fire up the bator again. I've only had one other incubator hatching experience a few weeks ago and it went well. Hoping for a second successful hatching soon.

Any tips on purchased eggs? Do I need to let them rest before putting them in the bator? Should I let them turn on a rack for a bit first, or it is best to get them going ASAP? Thanks in advance for any tips!!!
