22 week old buff orpington pullets

I have 8 buff orpington pullets 22 weeks old.

Some of them have very small pale combs/waddles and few others are getting bigger/redder.

The pullets with the bigger/red combs/waddles will do the squat when my buff orpington rooster gets near them.

Does that mean they are close to laying eggs?

Red combs and squatting are the signs to look for!!!! Love buff Orpingtons, but they take their time to start laying sometimes

My Buffs took a little extra time too but seem to be good layers even in this Florida heat!
