Our black Java chicks started laying!!!
They are roughly 23wks old - I'm not certain of their hatch date, as it was not documented.
Of the five hens, three started laying at the same time. I knew it'd be soon, as Roaster the Rooster has been interested in a couple of them for a few weeks now...
Yummy little pullet eggs. Can't wait until the eggs are regular sized - these pullet eggs are pretty small, completely formed (yolk and all), but small!
