24 weeks & the winner is.....

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd post my first egg. The girls are 24 weeks and Racey, one of my EE's, is the winner (her name sure fits her). She laid it on Halloween and it's a beautiful green egg. I did the crazy, happy dance for hours.

Yep....my husband thinks I'm silly.

It's such a perfect little egg...how can I not? It's been torture...waiting and waiting. I was so excited! I didn't realize chickens act so different when laying an egg....honking like a goose, tearing up all the nests and her pea comb was fire red! I love chickens!

When I seen my first egg I thought my mom put it in as a joke LOL I blew it out and going to make it into an ornament to keep soon
