I have over 35 pairs of Chinese Blue Breasted Quails (Aka. Button Quails) that are laying consistantly. They are paired up individually (One male and one female per cage) to keep good records of the bloodlines. I have ALL color mutations available in the US including some of the rare colors of Tuxedos and Pieds. I will be including eggs from all of the colors. ALL THE EGGS THAT ARE SENT WILL BE COLLECTED THE DAY PRIOR SHIPPING TO BE SURE YOU GET THE BEST POSSIBLE HATCH RATE!!!

These include eggs from selectively chosen birds for quality, conformation, color and overall health of the following colors;

Wild Type
Red Breasted
Silver
Blue Faced
Cinnamon
Pieds ( which includes splash, wing tipped, and TUXEDO)
White
And any combination of the above (for example; Silver Red Breasted or Cinnamon Tuxedo)

I have over 35 pairs of Chinese Blue Breasted Quails (individually caged for better bloodline management). Every day I get at least 25 eggs and I can supply at least 25+ eggs daily.

If you have any questions about the eggs OR about the quails in general, please email me at
[email protected]

Shipping is a flat rate fee of $9.95. This will include the postage for priority mail, the packing materials (which by the way, I have shipped over a thousand eggs and due to my packing technique, not even one broken egg has been reported to me) and the handling costs.

Payment will be collected via PAYPAL or Money Order. Paypal is preferred.

Please rest assured that you will receive the best possible eggs and the best customer service you can get! Once you purchase the eggs from me, you will continue to have our service! We will provide you (when we ship your eggs) with a brochure that will equip you with the most accurate information on how to properly incubate the eggs to give you the best possible hatch rate! You will also receive a support website where you will receive answers to all your Button Quail questions. From Incubation to breeding, all your questions will be answered within minutes! It doesn't end there!!! You will also be provided with a phone number where you can reach me in case you need immediate response!

We want you to be successful and I will do everything in my power to make sure you are successful. Rest assured that you will be in good hands!

Thank you for bidding!!!

I will include any extra eggs that I get the day prior to shipping.

Too bad I really hate hatching buttons, and have too many as it is. Most of mine are the darker colors (blueface, wild, redbreast, cinnamon), and I'd love to get some tuxedos! Maybe later this year, a lot of my birds are getting old

I'd be willing to send you some eggs from my tuxedo pairs only. I wouldn't be able to to 25 but at least a dozen. Let me know when you're ready and I will send you some

Do you ship birds? Females in particular? I don't have the heart to cull extra males, and no one in my area wants them.

They are very cute, I guess they are more into the utility breeds

I have 8 females and 13 males, they are in 3 different cages. I really don't care what colors, mine are all mixed from mixed color breedings anyway. I just need more girls so I can pair them out

How do you house yours? How big of a pen for a pair of buttons? I was thinking of making a 'bookshelf' type cage for mine, each pen would be 12" high by 18" deep by 24" wide, is that big enough?

HI-

Yes. I do ship adult birds. I don't have just females at the moment however, I have over 100 eggs in the incubator that are due to hatch tomorrow. If you don't mind waiting for them... I will have some females available in roughly 6 weeks.

I individually pair off my buttons. In the wild, they are monogamous so, they should be paired up individually. (one male and one female). They are definitely different from other quails. There are some people who keep them in groups or conveys and sooner or later... they have issues of feather plucking, fighting, chasing each other and eventually death. It never fails. I get so many emails about people who keep them in groups asking me why they are such agressive birds...and really ... they are not... they just protect their territory. Just like humans. If someone were to enter your house what would you do? You'd defend your territory and run them off. well, that's what these guys do.

I personally don't reccomend breeding in groups not only because they are territorial, but because you can't control the bloodlines, you don't know what hen is producing fertile eggs or producing eggs all together, you can't keep accurate records. That is my own opinion based on the research I've done on this species (Excalfactoria chinensis). I base my opinion on the belief that if we study birds in the wild, they will give us an indication on how to properly care for them

I use cages that are 14x14x11H (inches) per pair. It works out pretty well. It sounds like the cages you are planning to build is a great idea and I believe it will work pretty well.

Please check the other item that I have for sale https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=330539

This is an excellent book that was written by a good friend of mine on these little quails. It is the most comprehensive and up to date (was published Sept 2009) book ever written on CBBQs. If you get the book, I can throw in 10 Tuxedo eggs free of charge if you just pay the shipping. Just remind me when you're ready that I offered this to you.
