Hello!

I ordered 25 of Ideal's Feather Legged Bantam Assortment. The assortment is supposed to include the following breeds:
Brahmas, Cochins, Silkies and d'Uccles. I requested no Silkies but I got 6 of the 5 with Five toes. I'm really hoping I got no Silkies but I don't know what else they could be. I was thinking maybe I got a Faverolle or something but they aren't listed on their site as bantams. They do have LF Faverolles. Can you help me identify the breeds I got?

I marked the ones with 4 toes and the ones with 5 toes for your special consideration as to wether theyre Silkies or not. If you have a guess or know the color of each of the chicks please include that as well. Thanks a bunch!

Just got off the phone with Ideal. I sent Liz pictures of the chicks #1,7,8,9,13,14. She said she thinks chick #1 is definitely a Silkie but that #7,8,9,13,and 14 are Sultans. I'm okay with that. Do you guys agree? And what do you think about the other chicks?

#1. Definitely a Silkie, and I'm thinking it's a Partridge.
#2. Mille Fleur d'Uccle
#3. Mille Fleur d'Uccle.
#4. I'm thinking a Red Cochin?
#5. Another Red Cochin?
#7-9. Definitely more d'Uccles, perhaps White? (can't tell for sure with the lighting)
#10. Cochin, perhaps White?
#11-12. Cochins, and I'm thinking Mottled.
#13-14. d'Uccles, maybe Porcelain?
#15. Cochin, maybe Self Blue?
#16. Can't see too well, does it have a beard and muffs? I'm thinking either Porcelain d'Uccle or Light Brahma, depending on whether it has a fluffy face or not.
#17-19. Look like Silver Penciled Cochins to me.
#20. Silver Laced Cochin.
#21-22. I think Partridge Cochins.
#23. Buff Brahma.
#24. Honestly not sure....what type of comb does it have?
#25. I'm thinking Brahma.
Lovely babies!

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback! Honestly i was really hoping for a lot of d'Uccles :] Question. Do D'Uccles sometimes have 5 toes? I'M asking because Liz at Ideal told me he ought they were Sultans. Which I found odd because they didn't have Sultans listed as part of their assorted feather legged bantam assortment.

I don't blame you at all - d'Uccles are some of my best birdies! I'm honestly not sure....mine only have 4 toes, so maybe it's within the genetics of Ideal's breeding stock? (I'm NOT good with this sort of stuff

) One thing is for sure, those aren't Sultans, or Faverolles.

I'm 99.99% sure they're d'Uccles.

What I'd add to Alexandra 33:
I think the first is a Red Silkie
7-9 are Sultans, so are 13/14 they are just a little off color
#16 is a Light Brahma
17-19 Dark Brahma
#24 is another Silver Laced Cochin
The last 2 are both Buff Brahma

Thanks again @GigemChicken12 and @Alexandra33 ! I'll definitely keep everyone updated and post grow out pics as we go :) Stay tuned to this page!

Anyone else who wants to chime in, you're welcome as well. :)

Those are definitely Sultans, not d'Uccles... check their combs... Ideal does have them...

Brahmas will have pea combs, Cochins will have single combs... d'Uccles have single combs, Sultans have v-shaped combs...
